Working with Menopausal Clients- Bodywork & Skincare 04/25/2026
By 2030, over 1.2 billion women will experience perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause, each stage bringing unique physical, hormonal, and emotional changes that impact the body. Professionals play a crucial role in supporting menopausal clients by using targeted techniques to regulate the nervous system, enhance circulation, support hormonal balance, and reduce cortisol-driven stress responses. This course provides professionals with a deeper understanding of how shifting hormones—particularly the decline of estrogen and progesterone, and the rise of cortisol—affect the skin, muscles, fascia, and nervous system. Participants will explore the physiological impact of menopause on circulation, connective tissue, hydration, inflammation, and healing.
Learning Outcomes:
Understand menopausal hormonal shifts and their impact on muscles, fascia, circulation, and nervous system function.
Identify cortisol-driven tension patterns and apply techniques to lower stress response.
Utilize bodywork techniques to support the parasympathetic nervous system and enhance sleep quality.
Apply lymphatic drainage techniques to reduce inflammation and fluid retention.
Identify and understand the skin changes associated with peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause.
Explain the roles of estrogen, progesterone, and cortisol in skin & muscle health.
Recognize common menopausal skin concerns such as dryness, sensitivity, thinning.
Incorporate specialized facial massage techniques for lymphatic drainage and collagen stimulation.
